The Arlo Outdoor Mount is a useful mounting accessory for the Arlo HD, Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 2 Cameras. The add-on is weatherproof, and it is available in both white and black colors. The mount features full 360 degree swivel and 90 degrees of tilt for optimal positioning and flexibility.

When using the Arlo Outdoor Mount, the camera will extend outward five inches so that it can obtain a superior viewpoint from the wall. The angle of the camera can even be adjusted after the device has been mounted so the user can get the look they want. This can also be very important for getting the motion detector to respond effectively.

For best results, an Arlo Camera needs to be within 300 feet of its base station whenever it is used. However, the max distance can be reduced because of walls, ceilings, large metal objects and other obstacles. Ideally, the camera should be placed about 7 feet off the ground, and it should be facing downward to properly detect motion. Keep this in mind when mounting.
