Honeywell Home CELL3DB5KT

The Honeywell Home CELL3DB5KT is an antenna kit for the AlarmNet LTE communicators. The kit contains everything required, with a few exceptions, to add an external antenna to your AlarmNet LTE radio. Included in this kit are one (1) 7626-5, one (1) CELL-ANT3DB, and one (1) WA7626-CA.

We also offer the CELL3DB25KT and the CELL3DB50KT antenna kits. The difference between these kits is the length of the coaxial cable that is included. You can probably guess that the CELL3DB25KT includes a 25' (7.62m) length of cable, and the CELL3DB50KT includes a 50' (15.24m) length of cable.

If your AlarmNet communicator must be installed in a location where LTE cellular signal is not strong enough for worry-free operation, then the addition of an external antenna may be the solution. A good way to tell if this is a viable option for you is, before permanent installation, allow the battery to charge, then bring the communicator outside and see if the signal strength improves to a more reliable level. If so, then adding an external antenna should provide the boost you need. This will also help you determine the best location to mount the antenna.

Some AlarmNet communicators may require additional cables and/or adapters to use the CELL3DB5KT:

• A Lyric LTE communicator also needs the CELL-EXTST.
• An LTEM-PIA/LTEM-PIV or LTEM-PA/LTEM-PV, will also need the ADPT-LTEMP.
• If you are using an LTEM-PXA/LTEM-PXV then you will also require the ADPT-LTEMPX.
• If you are using a PROLTE-A/PROLTE-V2, then you will also require a PROLTE-EXTCX adapter which only comes in the PROLTE-ANT and is not sold separately.

None of these adapters are included in the CELL3DB5KT kit.

Adding an external antenna like the CELL-ANT3DB helps in two (2) ways. It moves the location of the antenna, which by default is inside the cellular communicator, to a location where the available LTE signal is stronger. It also boosts the signal by about 3dBi. This may not sound like much, but it can mean the difference between a reliable LTE communicator, and a problematic one. The internal antenna boosts the signal by a mere 1.3dBi.
