Description
The Honeywell Home PROSIXPIR is a wireless motion detection sensor designed for use with panels that support the PROSIX wireless devices. These include the PROA7PLUS, PROA7PLUSC, PROA7, PROA7C, and the VistaH3. The passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor offers a coverage area of 40 feet by 56 feet, as well as pet immunity for small animals weighing up to 80 lbs.
As a PIR motion sensor, the PROSIXPIR will respond to the changes in infrared (IR) energy that occur with movement. The unit can be wall or corner mounted between 7 and 9 feet high, with an optimal mounting height of 7.5 feet. Mounting the sensor from this height will achieve the maximum 40' x 56' coverage area. The sensor will look out at a 90° viewing angle. Sensitivity adjustments are not supported by this sensor. Remember to follow mounting guidelines for pet immunity.
The sensor uses a single lithium CR123A battery for power, and it has an average battery life of five (5) years. Special features for the PROSIXPIR include tamper protection, auto-enrollment, an LED indicator for use during Walk Test Mode, low battery detection, uniform sensitivity optics, Fresnel lens technology, RF supervision, Walk Test Mode, and advanced temperature compensation. The sensor uses 128-bit AES encryption, and it offers a wireless communication range of more than 300 feet in an open air environment.
