The DSC TL880LECAT N is a dual-path communicator for the PowerSeries Neo alarm panels. It provides quick and reliable monitoring to Alarm.com. It uses AT&T LTE cellular and an ethernet connection for the IP connection. It is compatible with the HS2016, HS2032, HS2064, and HS2128 control panels at V1.1 and higher. The DSC TL880LECAT N also supports the PC-Link connection of the PowerSeries Neo panels for a shorter installation time.
This communicator uses the LTE cellular network to ensure high speed, reliable and secure alarm communications. Internet and LTE in the same module mean that as the industry moves away from traditional phone lines, customers can continue to rely on redundant transmission methods. The DSC TL880LECAT N offers an ethernet connection, but it is still required to register the cellular portion of the unit. This means choosing an alarm monitoring plan that includes cellular communication. For Alarm Grid customers, this means a Gold Plan (Self or Full) or higher. For those who want alarm signals only, with no remote service features, we also offer a plan for Cellular Alarm Monitoring only.
For Alarm.com communicators, dual-path communication is just that. Every signal is sent using all available paths. The signal that reaches Alarm.com first is processed and the slower version of that signal is discarded. In this way, Alarm.com makes sure that the fastest available signal path is used for each signal that is sent. Through Alarm.com, a dealer also has access to a whole suite of remote tools to assist them with programming and troubleshooting. This helps to prevent costly and time-consuming service appointments in the event that something goes wrong.
If you need a Verizon version there is also the TL880LECVZ N. Thiese communicators will get your DSC panel ready for Alarm.coms interactive services.
