DSC HS2064NK 3-1 Verizon LTE Kit

The DSC NEO-2064-PK-ENC-VZ is a system kit built for large homes and small businesses. You get a DSC HS2064NK PowerSeries NEO with 64 zones, a DSC HS2LCDRF9 N NEO Keypad, an Alarm.com Verizon LTE & IP Dual-Path Communicator, 3 PowerG Door/Window Sensors, a PowerG Motion, and an LT-Cable.

This kit is centered around the DSC HS2064NK PowerSeries NEO Panel. It includes support for 64 zones, and it offers many advanced features. We recommend using this panel in larger homes and small businesses. You just want to remember that the panel only has eight (8) onboard hardwired zones. If you want to use additional wired zones beyond this, then you must add at least one DSC HSM2108 Expansion Module. Each module you add will let you use eight (8) additional hardwired sensors with the system.

But a great thing about this PowerSeries NEO System Kit is that you are not restricted to just hardwired sensors. You can also use wireless PowerG Sensors. This is because the included keypad has an integrated PowerG Transceiver. You can start enrolling PowerG Sensors after you have installed and addressed the keypad. We have packaged some PowerG Sensors with this kit so that you can try them out for yourself. This includes three (3) PowerG 9303 Contacts and one (1) PG9914 PowerG Motion Sensor. Each PowerG Sensor boasts a 2km range in open air and 128-bit AES encryption for enhanced wireless security. Just keep in mind that both PowerG Sensors and hardwired sensors will count toward the 64-zone limit.

This system kit wouldn't be complete without a communicator. The DSC TL880LECVZ N is great, as it uses dual-path connectivity to communicate with the Alarm.com servers. This communicator will send out signals across the Verizon LTE Network and through a hardwired ethernet connection. As long as one path is functional, any security or automation command can go through successfully. This is important in case one path is ever down or unavailable. You can also control the system through Alarm.com once you have activated the communicator with an appropriate alarm monitoring plan. This communicator also includes an integrated Z-Wave Plus controller that lets you establish a complete Z-Wave network for use with Alarm.com.

We have also included a convenient Honeywell LT-Cable with this kit. You can use this prepared cable to easily connect the hardwired panel with a compatible transformer (not included). All you need is a screwdriver. Please note that this kit does not include a backup battery. You will want to get one so that the system can remain powered on during an electrical outage. A backup battery is also important for preventing any low-battery trouble conditions. Typically, the UltraTech 1240 is recommended as a backup battery. But if you use a lot of system accessories, then you might need the more powerful UltraTech 1270 Battery instead. Remember that a battery will usually last for about three (3) to five (5) years before requiring replacement.

Note: No transformer is included with this system. We recommend purchasing the Honeywell 1361-GT Transformer separately, which will work fine with the DSC PowerSeries NEO Security System.
