Qolsys IQ Shock-S

The Qolsys IQ Shock-S is an encrypted wireless sensor that serves as both a shock detector and as a door and window contact. The wireless sensor operates at 319.5 MHz, and it utilizes rolling encryption protection when used with the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 or IQ Panel 2 Plus Security Systems.

As a shock sensor, the Qolsys IQ Shock-S will detect the shockwaves associated with a door or window being broken down for forced entry. The sensor also has a built-in reed switch and an included magnet, allowing it to be used as a door and window contact. When the magnet separates from the sensor, the internal reed switch will activate, causing the sensor to alert the security system. The device can have a maximum one-inch gap from the magnet.

As a 319.5 MHz Sensor, the IQ Shock-S can be used with any of the Qolsys Alarm Systems. It can also be used with the GE/Interlogix Systems. However, the device will only utilize rolling code encryption when used with the IQ Panel 2 or IQ Panel 2 Plus. If used with a different system, it will only operate as a standard unencrypted wireless sensor.

An LED light and built-in sounder on the IQ Shock-S assists the user with testing. The device uses a 3V lithium CR123A battery that will need to be replaced every few years. The shock sensor sensitivity can be adjusted as needed to ensure proper functionality, while also preventing false alarms.

Note: Qolsys sensors operate at 319.5 MHz. They will not work with the 345 MHz and the 433 MHz versions of the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus. They are designed for the 319.5 MHz IQ Panel 2 Plus and other 319.5 MHz systems.
