Yes, a Honeywell 5853 Glass Break Detector is compatible with a Vista 21iP control panel.

Honeywell’s 5853 is a wireless glass break detector and is part of the Honeywell’s 5800 series. The 5853 performance is identical to Honeywell’s FG1625 hard wired glass break without the hassle of wiring.

The Vista 21iP control panel, supports up to 48 protection zones, plus 16 keyfob zones for a total of 64 zones. The Vista 21iP control panel comes equipped with 8 on board hardwired zones with 40 hardwired expansion zones or 40 wireless expansion zones.

When the Vista 21iP control panel is paired with either an RF keypad or a wireless receiver, the Vista 21ip control panel can easily support the 5853 glass break detector.

There are several wireless receivers to select from: Honeywell 5881ENL, an 8 zone receiver, 5881ENM, a 16 zone receiver, 5881ENH, unlimited zone receiver, 5881ENHC, commercial and fire burglary receiver, and the 5883H a transceiver module.

The following RF keypads are compatible with the Vista 21iP control panel: 6150RF, 6160RF and the 6162RF. The 6150RF has a built in 5881ENM, the 6160RF has a built in 5881ENH and the 6162RF has a built in 5881ENH. The 6160RF keypad can also be a programmer and program in zones. With an RF keypad, a user has the best of both worlds, a wireless receiver plus a keypad.
