Can I Use a Honeywell L7000 w/o Total Connect 2.0?

Yes, you can use the Honeywell Lynx Touch L7000 without Total Connect 2.0. The Lynx Touch L7000 can be used locally or monitored by a monitoring station.

If used locally, if a sensor / device is tripped, a signal is sent to the Lynx Touch L7000 control panel which will sound the siren. Signals will not be received by any monitoring station or notifications will not be received by the user. The Lynx Touch L7000 has a built in sounder that has 85db. An exterior siren can be added to the Lynx Touch L7000 and a LYNX-ENT will convert a hardwired siren to wireless to be compatible with the Lynx Touch L7000.

To be monitored by a monitoring station, the Lynx Touch L7000 must be paired with either a GSMVLP5-4G cell communicator or an L5100 Wifi Module. The GSMVLP5-4G cell communicator easily installs right into the L7000 control panel and will send any received signal from the Lynx Touch L7000 control panel to AlarmNet’s server which will forward the signals to a monitoring station. The L5100 Wifi Module also easily connects right into the L7000 control panel and communications via wifi with a users internet. The same process, the monitoring station will then receive signals and contact the user and or the proper authorities. Both devices, the GSMVLP5-4G and the L5100 Wifi Module can be used for dual path communication. When utilizing dual path communication, the first path of communication will be Wifi. If signals do not go through via wifi (perhaps internet is down) the GSMVLP5-4g cell communicator will kick in and signals will be sent.

Without Total Connect 2.0, a user will not be able to control the Lynx Touch L7000 remotely or receive any alarm event notifications.
