Can I Use Wired Contacts On A Honeywell Lynx L7000?

Yes, the Honeywell Lynx Touch L7000 comes equipped with one hardwired zone plus eighty programmable wireless zones and twenty-four dedicated keyfob zones. The one hardwired zone is a EOLR supervised zone which supports both open and closed circuit devices. The one hardwired zone cannot be used for a fire or heat zone. Zone 1 on the Lynx Touch L7000 is assigned for hardwired for programming. To set up the hardwire zone on the Lynx Touch L7000 connect the contact to the hardwire zone terminals GND (-) and HWZ1 (+). For closed circuit devices, connect in series in the high (+) side of the loop. The EOL resistor must be connected in series with the devices, following the last device. For open circuit devices, connect in parallel across the loop. The 2000-ohm must be connected across the loop at the last device.

A 5800C2W Convert to Wireless Module can also be used to convert existing wired sensors (door/window sensors, glass break detectors and motion detectors - not to be used to convert fire or heat sensors) to wireless making them compatible with the Honeywell Lynx Touch L7000. One 5800C2W can convert up to nine hardwired zones. A user can enroll up to eight 5800C2W on a Lynx Touch L7000. A 5800C2W is an awesome product allowing users to upgrade an existing hardwired panel to a new wireless Lynx Touch L7000 and use the existing hardwired sensors.
