Can I use Compass software to program an L5000?
Yes, compass software can be used to program a Honeywell LYNX Touch L5000 alarm control panel. Compass is a computer software program developed by Honeywell for their dealers. Compass allows a dealer to connect to remotely connect to an alarm panel and make programming changes. You can connect to the L5000 using Compass through a phone line with a modem, or through the AlarmNet ILP5 internet communicator or GSMVLP5 cellular communicator. Using either of the communicators to connect to the L5000 does require an AlarmNet service plan. The LYNX Touch requires Compass version 2.0 or higher.
