Honeywell 5800MICRA vs 5819WHS

The Honeywell 5800MICRA is a mini ¾” wireless, 1 zone recessed transmitter. The 5800MICRA requires users to drill a ¾” diameter, and no more than 11/32” deep hole into the edge of the window frame. Do not install on metal frame or steel windows or doors. The 5800MICRA is a reed switch magnetic contact, loop 1 normally closed. The operating temperatures of the 5800MICRA is 10 degrees F - 120 degrees F and an RF transmitting range of 100 feet. If the antenna gets coiled or gathered, the transmitting range will be affected and reduced. The 5800MICRA is supervised and has RF transmission supervision and will send a check in signal every 70 to 90 minutes. The 5800MICRA also has low battery detection and will send a low battery signal when the battery voltage reaches 2.3V. The magnet spacing gap for the 5800MICRA is 0.5” maximum.

The 5819WHS is a wireless, 3 zone shock processor and transmitter. The dimensions of the 5819WHS are 4.8"W x 1.5"H x 1"D. The built in shock sensor is designed to protect window and door surroundings and used to detect forcible to the surface it’s mounted to. The 5819WHS is normally closed, but under shock conditions it will go open-circuit for a moment.

The 5819 supports three unique zones, loop 1 is the built-in shock sensor loop, factory-wired to TB1 normally closed. Loop 2, normally closed is the built-in magnetic reed switch to be used with a magnet and loop 3, is for externally wired, closed-circuit contact loop connected to TB2. The 5819WHS/BRS also has a built-in cover tamper detection that will send a signal to the control panel once the cover is removed. The 5819WHS operates in temperatures that range from 32 degree F to 120 degrees F and has an RF transmitting range of 200 feet. Like the 5800MICRA, the 5819WHS is supervised and has RF transmission supervision and has low battery detection. The 5819WHS will send a low battery signal when the battery voltage reaches 2.3V. The magnet spacing gap for the 5819WHS is 0.5” maximum just like the 5800MICRA.
