Honeywell L3000 vs Vista 15P

Honeywell’s Vista 15P is the ideal choice for residential and small businesses. The Vista 15P is a hardwired/hybrid control panel. The Vista 15P has 6 on board hardwired zones and when paired with a 4219 hardwired expansion module can support up to 16 expansion zones totaling 22, or up to 26 wireless expansion zones when paired with a 5881 series wireless receiver or an RF keypad. The Vista 15P supports up to 8 alpha and fixed keypads like the 6150, 6160, 6162, 6150RF, 6160RF and 6162RF to name a few, and 2 graphic keypads like the 6280 or the Tuxedo Touch Wifi. The Vista 15P also supports up 8 separate keyfob zones. A user can view up to 50 event log with time and date stamp right on the keypad. The Vista 15P provides 4 different options for communication. A landline, cell communicator (GSMV4G, GSMX4G) internet communicator (7847i) and dual communication (iGSMV4G). The Vista 15P supports up to 32 user codes (including master and duress).

The L3000 also known as Lynx Plus is also an ideal choice for residential applications, especially renters as it is a wireless self contained panel. The L3000 is a control panel, keypad and siren all in one. The L3000 has an alpha keypad with real time displayed. Unlike the Vista 15P, the only wire needed to be run is from the panel to the transformer. The L3000 can be wall mounted or desk mounted which makes the L3000 is very easy to install, program and very easy to remove without needing to patch any holes in drywall. The L3000 has 1 on board hardwired zone and 40 wireless zones. The L3000 has an internal speaker with 85db. The L3000 supports up to 8 user codes. The L3000 has an 84 event history log viewable from the downloader only. The L3000 also provide 4 options of communication. A user can connect the panel to a landline, a cell communicator (GSMVLP4G), an internet communicatior (7847i) or dual communication by installing a cell communicator and connecting to a landline or install both a cell and internet communicator. The compatible second keypads are the 5828 and the 5828V.
