Honeywell Vista 21iP vs Vista 10P

Both the Honeywell Vista 21iP and the Vista 10P are hybrid hardwired control panels. Both the Vista 21iP and the Vista 10P have the same communication capabilities, landline, cell and internet communicators. The Vista 21ip has a built in 7847i internet communicator. The 7847i can be purchased separately and is compatible with the Vista 10P. The compatible cell communicators for both the Vista 21iP and Vista 10P are the GSMV4G and GSMX4G. Dual communication is also compatible with both the Vista 21iP and the Vista 10P, by installing a cell communicator or connecting a landline to to the Vista 21iP and installing a 7847i plus a cell communicator or connecting a landline to the Vista 10P or a iGSMV4G which has both the internet connection and a cell communicator rolled into one unit. Dual Communication is the most secure communication for alarm systems. The internet is the first path of communication in dual communication, if a signal does not go thru for whatever reason, the landline or the cell communicator would transmit the signals.

The Vista 21iP has eight on board hardwired zones while the Vista 10P has six on board hardwired zones. The Vista 21iP has 40 hardwired expansion zones (when paired with a 4219 zone expander) and or 40 wireless expansion zones (when paired with a wireless receiver or RF keypad) while the Vista 10P has zero hardwired expansion zones and sixteen wireless expansion zones (when paired with a wireless receiver or a RF keypad). Total zones for the Vista 21iP, 48 programmable zones and the Vista 10P, 22 programmable zones.

The Vista 21iP control panel supports up to four graphic touchscreen keypads such as the 6280 and the Tuxedo Touch Wifi. The Vista 10P control panel does not support graphic touchscreen keypads.

The compatible and most popular keypads for both the Vista 21ip and the Vista 10P are, the 6150, 6510V, 6150RF, 6151, 6152, 6152V, 6152RF, 6160, 6160V, 6160RF, 6160PX, 6162, 6162V, 6162RF, 5828, 5828V, 6460, 6148, 6165EX, 6149EX, and the 6164US.

The Vista 21iP control panel has two independent partitions plus one common partition. The Vista 10P does not have independent partitions.

The Vista 21iP supports up to forty-eight user codes and the Vista 10P supports up to sixteen user codes.

Both the Vista 21iP and the Vista 10P control panels support Honeywell IP cameras.

The Vista 10P control panel is very economical and is ideal for smaller applications, where security is the main focus.

The Vista 21iP control panel is ideal for smaller applications as well as larger ones. The Vista 21iP also supports home automation when paired with a VAM or Tuxedo Touch Wifi.
