How Do I Add Additional User Codes to an Interlogix Simon XTi or XTi-5?
You can add additional user codes to an Interlogix Simon XTi or XTi-5 by accessing system programming. The system's current Master Code is needed to access this menu. It is possible to program up to eight different standard user codes with an Interlogix Simon XTi or XTi-5 Alarm System.
A standard user code will be able to arm and disarm the panel. It will not be able to access programming or make any major changes to system settings. The code is best used with users who will require basic access to the panel. For users who need greater control, such as the ability to bypass sensors, they will need to be provided the system Master Code.
Complete the following steps to add user codes to an Interlogix Simon XTi or XTi-5:
1. Access programming. Start from the main screen of the Simon XTi or XTi-5 System. Click the gear icon in the lower-right corner of the screen to access the settings menu. Use the down arrow on the right to scroll down to the "Programming" option. Click the "Enter" button. Then provide the four-digit Master Code for the system. The default Master Code for the Simon XTi and XTi-5 is 1234, but this default code should be changed for security purposes. After entering in the code, press the "OK" button. This will take you into programming.
2. Add a code. Choose the "Access Codes" option in the top-left. Then click on the white box next to any available user code. You can then enter a four-digit code for that user. After entering in the desired code, press the "Save" button in the upper-right corner. The new code will be added to the system.
3. Exit programming. Keep pressing the "Close" button in the upper-right corner of the screen until you are returned to the main system screen. Any programming changes that were made will be saved automatically.
