Description

The Yale YRL256 is a smart lock that is perfect for any home. This lock uses Z-Wave Plus technology to easily integrate with a smart home network. The device will work with nearly any Z-Wave hub or controller for your convenience. The lock features a touchscreen keypad for on-site control.

One interesting feature about the Yale YRL256 Assure Lever Lock is that it does not have any physical keyholes. It is completely key-free, which helps to make the lock tamper-proof to intruders. You also won't have to worry about lost keys, as the touchscreen keypad allows for on-site operation. Other features for the YRL256 include customized automatic re-locking, privacy mode, and tamper alarms.

The touchscreen keypad is a super nice addition to the Yale YRL256. This feature makes it super easy to control the lock while you are on-site. The keys are also backlit, so that you will have no trouble locking or unlocking your door in dark environments. You can even use one-touch locking by pressing the Yale logo at the top of the keypad to quickly lock your door whenever you are in a hurry.

End users will also appreciate the Z-Wave Plus functionality of the Yale YRL256. By communicating across a Z-Wave network, the lock can pair with virtually any Z-Wave controller. This includes alarm control panels that use Total Connect 2.0 or Alarm.com for remote access and control. Please note that you will need an alarm monitoring plan to obtain access to TC2 or ADC. We recommend using a Z-Wave Plus hub to maximize the battery life and wireless Z-Wave range.

The Yale YRL256 receives power from four (4) AA batteries. You can also use a 9V battery to temporarily keep the device powered on. It features a simple installation process that allows you to set up the lock with a single screwdriver. It will work with nearly any single-hole prepped door. The lock has been approved by ANSI/BHMA as Grade 2: A156.36. Some of its specifications include a Face Bore rating of 2 1/8", an Edge Bore of 1" and a Backset of 2 3/8" or 2 3/4". It works with doors with a thickness rating of 1 3/8" to 1 3/4". The lock has a strike rating of 1 1/8" x 2 3/4". The interior dimensions are 2 3/4"W x 6 3/8"L, 3" distance from door. the exterior dimensions are 2 9/16"W x 6 1/16"L, 2 7/16" distance from door. The YRL256 is manufactured by Assa Abbloy.
