Can I Change A Lyric Security System's Installer Code?

Yes, the Installer Code on a Lyric Security System can be changed.

The Lyric Security System is pre-programmed with Honeywell’s factory default Installer Code of 4112, but users can opt to change this to a different 4 digit code via the Installer Code programming field.

To enter programming, select the Security icon from the Home screen on the Lyric and then select the Tools icon.

Enter the existing Installer Code 4112 on the displayed keypad.

The Installer Tools menu screen will appear.

Select the Program button.

System Programming will be displayed in an orange band at the top of the screen. The Panic button will light up and the Home button will flash red and green.

Select the Installer Code option and this will advance to that programming screen.

The current 4 digit Installer Code will be displayed on the left side of the screen.

Select Clear.

Enter a new 4 digit Installer Code on the displayed keypad.

The system will display the new code on the left side of the screen.

Select Done when finished to save.

The system will automatically return to the System Programming Screen.

To exit Programming Mode Press the return key to exit the current screen and the system will return to the previous screen. Press the return key as many times as it takes to return to the Security Screen or press the Home button to return.

Users should not be concerned of keeping the factory default installer code as 4112. The Installer Code cannot disarm the alarm unless it was used to arm the system. It can also not be used to disarm the system if the alarm was armed by Quick Arm.
