Yes, you can connect an Android Phone to a Qolsys IQ Panel 2. This is made possible using the Alarm.com service and the Alarm.com Mobile App. The mobile app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. Active cellular service is required to connect the system with Alarm.com.
Alarm.com is an interactive service platform that provides a user with a convenient point of access to their security system. The user can access the service at any time to perform virtually the same system operations that can be done from the actual panel itself. From Alarm.com, a user can arm and disarm their system, control Z-Wave home automation devices, check the current status of security sensors, view the live feed of security cameras and more.
An Android Phone can access the Alarm.com platform using the Alarm.com Mobile App. This app is available for free download from the Google Play Store, and it is compatible with almost any Android device. Once the app has been opened, a user will need to provide their Alarm.com login credentials to access the Alarm.com server. The user can then use their Android Phone to control their IQ Panel 2. This can be done from virtually anywhere, as long as the Android Phone has an active connection.
Please note that the IQ Panel 2 System will need to be receiving active cellular service in order for it to work with Alarm.com. The IQ Panel 2 comes with an integrated cellular communicator for this purpose. But the user will still need to obtain an alarm monitoring plan that includes cellular connectivity.
