How Do I Connect My iPhone to a Qolsys IQ Panel 2?

You can connect your iPhone to a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 using the Alarm.com mobile app. To do this, you will need to obtain a cellular monitoring plan for your system. Once the plan has been set up, you can create an Alarm.com account and then use your account to access the Alarm.com mobile app.


In order to use an iPhone to control a Qolsys IQ Panel 2, you will need to register the system with Alarm.com. A cellular connection is needed for this purpose. The Qolsys IQ Panel 2 comes included with a built-in cellular module that will allow the system to utilize a cellular connection. When purchasing the IQ Panel 2, users can choose either the Verizon network or the AT&T network for the included cellular module. This has nothing to do with the user's personal phone service provider, and we recommend choosing whichever network provides the best signal strength in the area.

Complete the following steps to start using your iPhone with a Qolysis IQ Panel 2:

1. Obtain a cellular monitoring plan. A cellular monitoring plan is required to register a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 for service with Alarm.com. Alarm Grid offers its central station Gold plan that includes Alarm.com service for just $35 per month,

2. Register with Alarm.com. Contact your alarm monitoring company, and let them know that you would like to register your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 with Alarm.com. You will need to provide the IMEI number for the module in order to complete the registration process.

You can find the IMEI on your IQ Panel 2 by pressing, then pulling down the small grey bar at the top of the screen, then going to Settings > Advanced Settings > enter installer code (default is 1111) > About > Cellular. The IMEI number should be displayed.

After registering, you should receive an email providing you instructions on how to set up an account with Alarm.com. Complete the process so that you can access the Alarm.com platform.

3. Download the Alarm.com app. You can download the Alarm.com app on your iPhone from the App Store. Once it has been downloaded, you can use your Alarm.com account to access the app on your iPhone.


4. Test the App. Using the Alarm.com app, attempt to arm and disarm your IQ Panel 2. If you are able to do this, then your iPhone has been successfully set up with Alarm.com
