How Do I Reset a Honeywell IPCAM-WOC1 to Use On a Different TC2 Account?

You can reset a Honeywell IPCAM-WOC1 to use on a different TC2 account by pressing and holding the reset switch until the LED light on the camera is blinking white. This should be done while the camera is powered on. You can then proceed to set up the camera with a new account like normal.

A Honeywell IP Camera can only be deleted through the Total Connect 2.0 account that it is assigned with. If you try to bring it to a new account, and you cannot perform the traditional deletion process through the original Total Connect 2.0 account, then you must perform a hard reset for the camera. This is often done if the camera is purchased used, and the previous owner forgot to delete it from their Total Connect 2.0 account. Another reason to reset the camera is if you replace your modem and/or router and the network settings change. After the reset, you can then add the camera to Total Connect 2.0. If you try to pair the camera without performing the reset first, then you may notice the camera LED lights are acting unusually during the attempted registration process. Performing the factory reset should fix this problem.

Complete the following steps to reset the Honeywell IPCAM-WOC1 so that you can add it to a different TC2 account:

1. Access the reset switch. The Honeywell IPCAM-WOC1 has four (4) dongles leading from the back of it. One of these dongles is the reset switch. The reset switch has a recessed button that you press and hold to perform the reset. You may need to dismount the camera in order to access the reset switch. Do not confuse the reset switch with the power switch, as it is easy to mix them up. The picture below shows the reset switch and the power switch.

2. Perform the reset. Keep the camera powered on during the reset process. Press and hold the recessed reset button until the LED light on the camera begins blinking white. This will reset the camera back to its default settings.

3. Register with TC2 account. Now that the factory default has been performed, you should be able to enroll the camera with your network and then with your Total Connect 2.0 account. For more information on enrolling the camera, please see this FAQ.
