How do I setup a hardwire zone on Honeywell Lynx Touch?

The older Honeywell L5000 LYNX Touch and the newer Honeywell L5100 LYNX Touch wireless alarm control panels are both equipped with (1) hardwired zone which can be used to attach a hardwired device or loop of devices to an otherwise wireless security system. The hardwired zone uses a 2K ohm end-of-line resistor (EOLR), has 200 ohms max wire resistance and utilizes dry contacts only. On the LYNX Touch wireless alarm control panels, the hardwired zone should be wired to the terminals labeled HWZ1 and GND. The hardwired zone on the Lynx Touch needs to be programed as zone 1.
