How Do You Activate Door Chime On A 2GIG GC Touch Panel?

To activate chime on the 2GIG GC Touch, tap the Settings gear icon while disarmed, enter the Installer Code (1561 by default) or Master Code (1111 by default), then navigate to Equipment Management and tap Audio Settings. Set the Door Chime option to Low or High to hear the ding-dong sound.

About Door Chime on the GC Touch

The Door Chime feature produces a ding-dong sound when sensors configured for chime are triggered. This provides audible notification when doors or windows open, even when the security system is disarmed. The chime volume can be set to Off, Low, or High depending on your preference.

Note that individual sensors must also have chime enabled in their zone settings for the chime to sound when triggered. The GC Touch (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE versions) allows you to customize chime behavior for each zone through Sensor Settings.

Steps

  1. Disarm the system. Settings access is restricted when the panel is armed. Verify the system shows Disarmed status.
  2. Tap the Settings icon. Find the gear icon in the top-right corner of the home screen.
  3. Enter your access code. Use the Installer Code (1561 by default) or Master Code (1111 by default) , then tap Enter (↵) to access Settings.
  4. Tap Equipment Management. This opens system configuration options including Audio Settings.
  5. Select Audio Settings. The Audio Settings screen displays volume controls for various panel sounds including Door Chime.
  6. Set Door Chime to Low or High. Tap the radio button next to Low or High for the Door Chime option. Off disables the chime sound entirely. Changes save automatically.

Activating door chime on the 2GIG GC Touch provides convenient notification when entry points open throughout your home. Remember that sensors must also have chime enabled in their individual zone configuration.
