What do the LEDs Mean On My Honeywell Home PROSIXC2W?

The LEDs on your Honeywell Home PROSIXC2W mean a variety of different things in relation to the current status of the wired to wireless converter. These LED lights are typically used for troubleshooting purposes and for ensuring that the PROSIXC2W Converter Module is working properly.

The Honeywell Home PROSIXC2W is a wired to wireless converter for the Honeywell Home PROA7PLUS. Wired sensors connect with one of eight (8) available zones on the PROSIXC2W so that they can be integrated with the PROA7PLUS System. The PROA7PLUS will see the connected wired sensors as compatible wireless devices. Each wired zone used with the PROSIXC2W will be assigned its own wireless zone on the PROA7PLUS.

The PROSIXC2W supports EOLR learning through a special calibration process. Resistors ranging from 1k to 10k in value are suitable for calibration. You must complete the entire wiring process for the PROSIXC2W and the connected sensors before performing the calibration. In addition, at the time of calibration, all zones that will be used must be in their non-faulted position. Any unused zones should remain open, with nothing connected to their terminals. Any wired input that has a fault at the time of calibration will not be seen by the PROSIXC2W, and will be treated as though nothing is connected to that zone input. The calibration will need to be reperformed if you change or replace any of the wired sensors or the EOLRs.

Up to two (2) of the sensors used with the PROSIXC2W can be powered sensors using 4-wire connections. Of the four (4) wires, two (2) wires will land at the designated auxiliary power terminals, and the other two (2) will connect with available zone terminals. If you need to integrate more than two (2) powered sensors with the PROA7PLUS Panel, then you will either need an additional PROSIXC2W Converter or an auxiliary power supply. Please note that no life-safety sensors can be used with the PROSIXC2W. This includes any wired smoke detectors, heat detectors, and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors.

The Honeywell Home PROSIXC2W Converter has four (4) LED lights that you can use to check the current status of the module. These lights are also helpful when troubleshooting the PROSIXC2W. Each light serves a different purpose and has its own meaning. We have outlined the role of each light below.

  • LED Light #1 - Green LED: Blinks once upon any RF signal transmission, which includes a zone trigger, a tamper, and/or a fault message. Blinks quickly during the enrollment/deletion process. The light will also slow blink to indicate cover tamper trouble for the PROSIXC2W Converter.
  • LED Light #2 - Red LED: Blinks for one (1) second on/off when the PROSIXC2W requires calibration.
  • LED Light #3 - Green LED: Remains steady ON after the PROSIXC2W has been successfully calibrated.
  • LED Light #4 - Combination Green/Red LED: Steady Green indicates that power from the 5.5VDC plug-in transformer is present. If the LED is blinking Red (1 second on, 1 second off) then the PROSIXC2W is running on battery power due to the absence of transformer power.
