Smaller homes and apartments can achieve a complete security setup with the 2GIG GC2 Verizon-LTE 3-1 Kit. The kit, although basic, includes everything a new user needs to get started with home security. The setup is based around the wireless all-in-one (AIO) 2GIG GC2 Security System.
Inside the kit, there is a brand-new 2GIG GC2 Go!Control System, 3 door and window sensors, a motion detector, a Honeywell LT-Cable for powering the system and a Verizon LTE Cellular Communicator. Most apartments and smaller homes won't need more than three door and window contacts for achieving a complete security setup. And the included motion sensor can be used effectively monitor an interior room.
But if a user ever needs to add additional sensors to the system, it has 60 wireless zones available. The system also supports 64 different user codes so that everyone can have their own unique code for arming and disarming the system. The GC2 also has a built-in Z-Wave controller for supporting up to 232 different Z-Wave devices. An optional desk stand can also be used to avoid mounting the panel to the wall.
Perhaps the most important add-on included in the kit is the Verizon LTE Cellular Communicator. Cellular communication is very important for getting the most out of a 2GIG GC2 System. This add-on allows the system to use cellular communication for sending outbound signals. Cellular communication is very important for an alarm system because of its exceptional reliability and fast performance.
Using cellular communication will also allow the system to work with Alarm.com. This is an interactive service platform that provides many functions for a security system. A user can access Alarm.com through a web browser or remotely using the Alarm.com Mobile App on an Android or iOS device. Once they have accessed the service, they can arm and disarm their system, check the current status of security sensors, control Z-Wave smart home devices and more.
