You can add a Schlage Z-Wave Lock to a Tuxedo Touch Keypad by accessing the Tuxedo Touch Z-Wave Programming Menu, putting the Tuxedo into its exclusion mode, clearing the Schlage Lock from the network, putting the Tuxedo into its pairing mode, and activating the lock's inclusion function.
Before pairing any Z-Wave device, it is recommended that you exclude it from the network. Step 1 & 2 focus on excluding the lock from the network, while Steps 3 & 4 focus on including the lock. Complete the following steps to add a Schlage Z-Wave Lock to a Tuxedo Touch Keypad:
1. Access Tuxedo exclusion mode. Start from the main screen of the Tuxedo Touch. Choose Automation, then click the Z-Wave Setup button. The Z-Wave Setup button can be identified by the wrench, screwdriver, and Z-Wave Logo. The button is found at the bottom of the screen, immediately to the left of the button that features a wall switch.
You are now in the Z-Wave Setup Menu. Click the button labeled "Remove Device". The Tuxedo Touch will enter its Z-Wave exclusion mode.
2. Exclude the lock. Put the Schlage Lock into its own inclusion/exclusion mode by entering its programming code, followed by the  button. You can find the programming code for the lock underneath its main cover on a white sticker. Below is an example of what the sticker will look like. The Tuxedo Touch will indicate that a device has been excluded. You may then exit Exclusion Mode.
3. Access Tuxedo inclusion mode. Return to the same Z-Wave Setup Menu on the Tuxedo Touch, as mentioned in Step 1. Click Add Device. This will put the Tuxedo Touch into its Z-Wave inclusion mode.
4. Include the lock. Repeat Step 2 by entering the lock's unique programming code, followed by . The Tuxedo Touch should recognize the lock. Make sure to configure any settings for the lock as needed, and test the lock after programming.
