Adding a lock to the panel lets you lock and unlock doors directly from the touchscreen, from a paired IQ Remote, and remotely through the Alarm.com app. Once your first lock is added, a dedicated Locks page appears on the panel where you can control all paired locks, check their status, and lock or unlock all doors at once.

Before starting, install the lock according to the manufacturer's instructions and make sure it is within Z-Wave range of the panel (typically 30 to 100 feet depending on walls and obstacles). If the lock was previously paired with another Z-Wave controller, you will need to clear it first using the Clear Device option in the Z-Wave Devices menu.
