How Do I Give Master Code Camera Access on the IQ Panel 5?

To allow the Master Code to access camera settings on the IQ Panel 5, swipe down and touch Settings, then Advanced Settings, and enter your Installer Code. Next, touch Installation, then Camera Settings, and enable the Allow Master Code to Access Image Settings toggle to grant it access.

About Master Code Access

By default, the camera and image settings on the IQ Panel 5 (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) can only be reached with the Installer Code or Dealer Code. The Allow Master Code to Access Image Settings option changes that, letting the Master Code open these settings as well. It is disabled by default, which keeps camera configuration locked to the installer level on your security system.

Turning it on is handy if you want to manage the panel camera yourself without needing the Installer Code each time. Once enabled, the Master Code can reach the Camera Settings menu to adjust things like disarm photos, alarm photos, and the secure delete options. Leaving it off keeps those controls in the hands of whoever holds the Installer or Dealer Code.

Before You Begin

To turn this on, you need the Installer Code (1111 by default) or Dealer Code (2222 by default), since the Master Code cannot reach Camera Settings yet, which is exactly what this option changes. Once you enable it, the Master Code (1234 by default) will be able to open the camera settings on its own going forward.

Allow Master Code Access

  1. Swipe down and touch Settings. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Settings Tray, then touch SETTINGS.

  2. Touch Advanced Settings and enter your Installer Code. Touch ADVANCED SETTINGS, then enter your Installer Code (1111 by default). The Dealer Code (2222) works here too. The panel advances automatically after a valid code.

  4. Enable the setting. Find Allow Master Code to Access Image Settings and toggle it on. From now on, the Master Code can open Camera Settings, and you can turn this off here any time to lock it back to the installer level.

Enable Allow Master Code to Access Image Settings.

Tips

Enabling this affects only who can reach the camera settings; it does not change any of the camera behavior on its own. Once the Master Code has access, you can use it to adjust the individual camera options, such as turning the panel camera on or off, without needing the Installer Code. If you would rather keep camera configuration restricted, leave this setting off so only the Installer and Dealer Codes can open Camera Settings.

Allowing the Master Code to access camera settings on the IQ Panel 5 lets you manage the panel camera without the Installer Code on hand.
