How Do I Change The Volume On My 2Gig GoControl?

The 2Gig GoControl alarm panel allows users to control / adjust the volume of the system’s speaker.

To adjust the volume, press Security on the home screen, then press Menu. On the menu screen, press Toolbox. On the toolbox screen, press Brightness / Volume. There will be two bars, the bottom bar is the volume display. The volume level can be adjusted from level 1 to 12, 1 being the lowest and 12 being the highest. Press the volume icon on each end of the bar to adjust the volume level. When the desired volume level is reached, press the OK icon to save.

Adjusting the volume control setting will not affect the alarm sounder volume.

The brightness can also be adjusted following the same procedure. The brightness is the top bar and can be adjusted from level 1 to 12. Press the bright icon on each end of the bat to adjust the brightness.

Press the OK icon to save.

The backlight timeout of the display can also be adjusted. The backlight timeout sets the length of time that the display stays lit after use. It can be adjusted to 30 seconds, 1, 2, 5, or 10 minutes, or to “always” to light the display at all times. To adjust or change the backlight timeout press Security from the home screen. Press Menu then Toolbox. On the toolbox screen, press the “right” arrow, press Blackout Timeout. Choose the blackout time of choice and press OK to save.
