How Do I Connect Red, Yellow, & White Wires To a Siren?

The following is instructions to connect wires from a hardwired siren to a Vista Series Control Panel.

The white wire is 12V negative and should be connected to terminal 4, the (-) alarm output terminal on a VISTA Series alarm control panel.

The yellow positive wire is for normal steady alarm tone and should be connected to terminal 3 on the Vista Series alarm control panel.

The red wire is alternate positive and is used to produce the warble tone associated with fire alarms. Connect the red wire lead to terminal 3, just like the yellow wire, when a burglar alarm is tripped, the siren will sound a steady tone and when a fire alarm is tripped, the siren will sound a warble tone. Wiring the siren this way users will be able to listen to the alarm siren sound and know which type of alarm was tripped.
