How Do I Control Who Can Delete Photos on the IQ Panel 5?
To control who can delete photos on the IQ Panel 5, swipe down and touch Settings, then Advanced Settings, and enter your Installer Code. Next, touch Installation, then Camera Settings, and set the Secure Delete Images toggles that decide whether a Master Code or a user code is required.
About the Two Secure Delete Settings
Deleting the disarm and alarm photos stored on the IQ Panel 5 (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) is controlled by two related settings in Camera Settings. Together they decide who is allowed to delete the images on your security system:
| Secure Delete Images (On by default)Deleting panel camera images requires a valid Master Code. This keeps the stored photos secure by limiting who can remove them. |
| Secure Delete Images by User Code (Off by default)While off, deleting panel camera images by any user code is not allowed. Turn it on to let regular user codes delete disarm and alarm photos, not just the Master Code. |
Enabling Secure Delete Images by User Code is useful when you want other people in the home to clear photos without sharing the Master Code. Leaving it off keeps deletion locked to the Master Code, which is the more secure choice if you want tighter control over the stored images.
Before You Begin
Camera Settings are in the Installation menu, which requires the Installer Code (1111 by default) or Dealer Code (2222 by default). By default the Master Code cannot reach these image settings, so use the Installer Code. Secure Delete Images by User Code is disabled out of the box, so unless you have changed it, you will be turning it on here.

Tips
The two settings work together: Secure Delete Images is what requires a code to delete photos at all, and Secure Delete Images by User Code decides whether that can be a user code or the Master Code only. If you turn the user-code option on, remember that anyone with a valid user code can then remove stored disarm and alarm photos, so only enable it if you are comfortable with that. To actually clear photos once deletion is allowed, see our guide on how to delete the disarm photos on the IQ Panel 5.
