How Do I Enable EN Grade 2 Compliance on the IQ Panel 5?
To enable EN Grade 2 on the IQ Panel 5, swipe down and touch Settings, then Advanced Settings, and then enter your own Installer Code. Next, touch Installation, then Installer Settings, and enable the EN Grade 2 setting, which puts the panel into the full EN 50131 Grade 2 compliance mode.
About EN Grade 2
EN Grade 2 puts the IQ Panel 5 (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) into compliance with EN 50131 Grade 2, a European security standard. It is disabled by default, and it is mainly relevant for installations in Europe or anywhere that standard is required. Turning it on is not just a label; it automatically changes a number of behaviors on your security system to meet the standard, so it is not something to enable casually on a typical US install.
Here is what enabling EN Grade 2 changes automatically on the panel:
Before You Begin
EN Grade 2 is in the Installer Settings, which require the Installer Code (1111 by default) or Dealer Code (2222 by default). The steps below use the Installer Code. Because enabling it changes so many behaviors at once, only turn it on if your installation actually needs to meet the EN 50131 Grade 2 standard. For a standard US system, leaving it off is the right choice.

Toggle EN Grade 2 on.
Tips
Enabling EN Grade 2 is what unlocks the EN Grade 2 only settings, such as the AC Delay Notification and the EU Event Swinger Shutdown Count, which stay greyed out until this is on. If a setting you want is greyed out and tied to EN Grade 2, turning this on is the fix. Keep in mind that it also disables Auto Bypass and the LED Indicator and forces Screen Lock on, so expect those changes in day-to-day use once it is enabled.
