How Do I Enable the Screen Lock on the IQ Panel 5 System?
To enable the screen lock on the IQ Panel 5, swipe down and touch Settings, then Advanced Settings, and enter your Installer Code. Next, touch Installation, then Security and Arming, and set Screen Lock to 4-Digit or 6-Digit so the panel requires a valid user code each time that it wakes.
About the Screen Lock
The screen lock adds a lock screen to the IQ Panel 5 (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) that appears whenever the panel is woken, either by a touch on the screen or a press of the side button. A valid user code is then required to use the panel, which prevents unauthorized access and keeps someone from reaching Advanced Settings. It is a useful layer of protection for your security system in shared or public spaces.
You can enable the screen lock as either a 4-Digit or 6-Digit lock, matching the length of the user codes on your system. The code entered at the lock screen determines the access level, so each person reaches only what their code allows. Screen Lock is disabled by default, and it is automatically enabled if you turn on Partitions, though you can disable it again afterward if you prefer.
Before You Begin
Screen Lock is in the Security and Arming menu, which requires the Installer Code (1111 by default) or Dealer Code (2222 by default). The steps below use the Installer Code. If you plan to use the 6-Digit Screen Lock, make sure your system is already set up for 6-digit user codes so the lengths match.

Tips
With Screen Lock enabled, the panel locks itself about 30 seconds after disarming, so it does not sit unlocked after use. If you enable Partitions later, Screen Lock turns on automatically, since it is what keeps one partition from accessing another. To use the 6-Digit option, your system needs 6-digit user codes turned on first, which you can set up in our guide on how to change to 6-digit user codes on the IQ Panel 5.
Enabling the screen lock on the IQ Panel 5 keeps the panel from being used without a valid code.
