How Do I Find the IMEI Number on the IQ Panel 5 System?

To find the IMEI number on the IQ Panel 5, check the sticker on the back of the panel, check the original packaging, or navigate to Advanced Settings and touch About. The IMEI is a unique 15-digit number needed to activate monitoring service or troubleshoot cellular connectivity.

What Is the IMEI and Why Do You Need It

The IQ Panel 5 (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) communicates over LTE cellular for alarm signal transmission and remote access. The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique 15-digit number that identifies the cellular radio inside your panel. You will need it when activating monitoring service, troubleshooting cellular connectivity, or contacting your carrier for support. The IMEI is specific to your panel and cannot be changed.

Method 1: Check the Sticker on the Back of the Panel

1. Remove the panel from the wall or hold it face down if not yet mounted. The back of the panel is accessible. If the panel is mounted on a SmartMount backplate, you can release it by pressing the locking tab on the bottom.

2. Locate the white label on the back of the panel. The label is printed directly on the back housing. It includes the model number, serial number, IMEI, and other device information.

3. Find the IMEI on the label. The IMEI is a 15-digit number listed on the label. Write it down or take a photo before remounting the panel.

Method 2: Check the Original Packaging

If the panel is already mounted on the wall, check the box it came in. The original packaging has a label on the outside with the IMEI and serial number printed on it. If you kept the box, this is the next quickest option after checking the back of the panel.

Method 3: Find the IMEI in the Panel Menu

1. Swipe down from the top of the screen. The Settings Tray opens.

5. Touch About. The About page opens showing system information including the firmware version, hardware version, cellular carrier, signal strength, and the IMEI number listed under the cellular information section.

Method 4: Find the IMEI Through Alarm.com

If your panel is already activated and registered with Alarm.com, you can find the IMEI through the Alarm.com dealer portal under the account's device information. This is useful if the panel is mounted and you do not have the original packaging. Contact your monitoring provider or Alarm Grid and they can pull the IMEI from the account on file. You can also expand your security system with home automation devices once your cellular service is active.

There are multiple ways to find the IMEI on your IQ Panel 5 whether the panel is mounted or still in the box on the IQ Panel 5.
