You can just go ahead and include it with your Lyric System. All configuration for the lock is done through the August Home App, which can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Keep in mind that it is best practice to have the lock in close proximity to the panel during the pairing process. You can finish setting up the lock on the Lyric System. You may get a warning on the app that states that your Z-Wave hub is using the S0 security protocol.
