How Do I Remove All PowerG Devices From the IQ Panel 5?

To remove all PowerG devices on the IQ Panel 5, swipe down and touch Settings, then Advanced Settings, and enter your Installer Code. Next, touch Installation, then Devices, and touch Remove All PowerG Devices. Then confirm on the popup to clear every PowerG sensor and automation device.

About Removing All PowerG Devices

The IQ Panel 5 (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) has a single button that clears every PowerG device from the panel at once. This removes all PowerG security sensors and automation devices from the network in one step, which is useful when you are decommissioning a system, starting a fresh install, or moving equipment to a different panel. It affects only PowerG devices on your security system.

Because this clears everything PowerG at once, it is a bulk action to use with care. If you only want to remove one or a few PowerG sensors instead, use the Delete/Replace Sensor option, which lets you pick individual sensors or several at a time. The Remove All PowerG Devices button is the right choice when you truly want a clean slate for PowerG.

Before You Begin

This option is in the Installation menu, which requires the Installer Code (1111 by default) or Dealer Code (2222 by default). The steps below use the Installer Code. Removing all PowerG devices cannot be undone, so make sure you intend to clear every PowerG sensor and automation device before you confirm.

Tips

Since this clears both PowerG security sensors and PowerG automation devices, take a quick inventory of what is paired before you confirm, so you know what will need to be re-added later. If any PowerG devices are being moved to another panel, removing them here first keeps the network clean on both ends. To pull a single PowerG sensor rather than everything, the Delete/Replace Sensor menu is the better tool.
