How Do I Turn Disarm Photos On or Off on the IQ Panel 5?

To turn disarm photos on or off on the IQ Panel 5, swipe down and touch Settings, then Advanced Settings, and enter your Installer Code. Next, touch Installation, then Camera Settings, and toggle Disarm Photos on or off. This controls whether the camera captures a photo at each disarm event.

About Disarm Photos

The IQ Panel 5 (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) uses its built-in camera to take a single photo each time the system is disarmed, giving you a visual record of who turned the system off. Disarm Photos is enabled by default, and it is a handy feature for keeping tabs on when family members come and go. If you would rather the panel not take these photos, you can turn the feature off on your security system while leaving the rest of the camera working.

The Disarm Photos toggle is one of the individual controls in Camera Settings, separate from the master Panel Camera switch. Turning off just Disarm Photos stops the disarm captures but leaves alarm photos and other camera functions in place. If you want to shut off the camera entirely instead, see our guide on how to turn the panel camera on or off on the IQ Panel 5.

Before You Begin

Camera Settings are in the Installation menu, which requires the Installer Code (1111 by default) or Dealer Code (2222 by default). By default the Master Code cannot reach these image settings, so use the Installer Code. Disarm Photos is enabled out of the box, so unless you have changed it, you will be turning it off here.

Tips

Turning off Disarm Photos stops new captures going forward, but it does not remove photos the panel has already saved. To clear those, see our guide on how to delete the disarm photos on the IQ Panel 5. The same Camera Settings menu also has toggles for Alarm Photos and Settings Photos, so you can fine-tune exactly which events trigger the camera while leaving the disarm capture off.

Turning disarm photos on or off on the IQ Panel 5 lets you decide whether the camera records each disarm.
