How Do I Turn On Adaptive Brightness on the IQ Panel 5?
To turn on adaptive brightness on the IQ Panel 5, swipe down from the top of the screen and touch Settings. On the Settings page, touch Display, then enable Adaptive Brightness so the screen adjusts to the room light. No code is needed, since Display is one of the panel's quick settings here.
About Adaptive Brightness
Adaptive brightness lets the IQ Panel 5 (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) adjust its screen brightness on its own based on the light in the room, brighter in daylight and dimmer as the room darkens. It works much like the auto-brightness on a smartphone, so you do not have to set the level by hand as conditions change. It is a display preference and does not affect how your security system arms, disarms, or protects your home.
The setting is in the Display settings, on the same Settings page as brightness, Dark Mode, and Night Light mode. Because these are display preferences rather than programming, you can turn adaptive brightness on or off any time without an access code. Once it is on, the panel manages the brightness for you automatically.
Before You Begin
No code is required, since adaptive brightness is part of the Display settings on the quick Settings page rather than in Advanced Settings. This is a display-only change that does not affect any of your system's security functions. You can turn it on to try it and switch back to setting brightness manually just as easily.

Tips
Adaptive brightness works nicely alongside Night Light mode, which keeps the screen dim at night specifically, and you can use both together. If you would rather set a fixed level instead, the same Display menu has a manual brightness slider. For a darker overall look at any time of day, you can also turn on Dark Mode from this same menu.
Turning on adaptive brightness on the IQ Panel 5 keeps the screen comfortable to read as the light in the room changes, with no manual adjusting.
