How Do I Turn On Dark Mode on the IQ Panel 5 Alarm System?

It is one of several display options on the panel, so you can set the look of your security system to match your space. Turning it on affects only the appearance of the screen, not how the system arms, disarms, or protects your home.

You will find Dark Mode in the Display settings, which sit on the code-free Settings page alongside brightness, font size, and the day and night light options. Because these are display preferences rather than programming, you can switch Dark Mode on or off any time without an access code. It applies right away, so you can see the difference the moment you enable it.

Before You Begin

No code is required, since Dark Mode is part of the Display settings on the quick Settings page rather than in Advanced Settings. Turn On Dark Mode

1. Swipe down and touch Settings. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Settings Tray, then touch SETTINGS to open the quick Settings page.

Tips

If your goal is a panel that is less bright at night specifically, the Display settings also include a night light mode and adaptive brightness, which dim the screen automatically in low light and can be used alongside Dark Mode. The same menu lets you change the font size and switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time. While you are on the Settings page, you will also find the Temperature option if you ever need to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
