How Do I Turn On the Solar Page on the IQ5 Hub Security System?
To turn on the Solar Page on the IQ5 Hub, go to Advanced Settings, enter the Installer Code, touch Installation, then Installer/Dealer Settings, and turn on Solar Page. The page appears only after you set up the Installation Tracker. It is disabled by default. It is off by default.
What the Solar Page Is
The IQ5 Hub (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) has an optional Solar Page. When it is enabled, a new page can appear on the panel that lets solar integrators push information to the panel. It is meant for homes where a solar integrator works with the system, and it adds solar information to the same panel that runs your security system.
The page does not simply appear when you turn the setting on. The manual notes that it will not appear unless it is also set up through the Installation Tracker setting, which uses details from your solar integrator.
Before You Start
You need the Installer Code, which is 1111 by default, or the Dealer Code, 2222. You also need three details from your solar integrator: the Integrator ID, an email address, and the Project Code. Have them ready before you begin, since the Installation Tracker asks for all three.
How to Turn On the Solar Page
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen. This opens the Settings Tray with quick controls.
2. Touch Settings. This opens the main Settings page.
3. Touch Advanced Settings. This prompts you to enter a code before continuing.
4. Enter the Installer Code. The default Installer Code is 1111. The Dealer Code, 2222, also works. The panel opens the Installer menu as soon as the code is entered.
5. Touch Installation. This opens the Installation menu.
6. Touch Installer/Dealer Settings. This opens the list of installer settings, which includes the solar settings.
7. Turn on Solar Page. It is disabled by default. Once it is on, the three solar options below it become available.
How to Set Up the Installation Tracker
1. Touch Installation Tracker. This option is greyed out until Solar Page is enabled.
2. Enter the Integrator ID, the email, and the Project Code. Get these from your solar integrator. They set up the Solar Install Tracker and the Solar Page.
Other Solar Settings
Three more options sit under Solar Page, and each is greyed out and turned off until Solar Page is enabled. Make Solar the Homepage is enabled by default and chooses whether the Solar Page appears as the homepage on the panel. Installation Tracker holds the integrator details. Solar Page Hidden by Solar Data is disabled by default.
With Solar Page Hidden by Solar Data disabled, both the solar webpage and the solar inverter data show on the panel. When you enable it, the solar webpage is hidden once the solar inverter data starts being received from Alarm.com.
If the Options Are Greyed Out
If Make Solar the Homepage, Installation Tracker, or Solar Page Hidden by Solar Data is greyed out, Solar Page is still off. Turn on Solar Page first, then return to the other options. Each of them stays unavailable until the page itself is enabled.
If the Page Does Not Show Up
If you turned on Solar Page and still do not see it, the Installation Tracker setup is not finished. Enter the Integrator ID, email, and Project Code, and confirm your solar integrator has completed their side of the setup. The page depends on information that the integrator sends, so contact them if everything on the panel looks correct.
How to Turn the Solar Page Off
To turn the Solar Page off, repeat the same steps and switch Solar Page back to disabled. The other solar options become greyed out again, and the page no longer appears on the panel. Your integrator details stay entered, so turning the page back on later is quick.
The Solar Page is one part of a larger system, and it works alongside your other features, including monitoring and home automation.
Turning on the Solar Page on your IQ5 Hub adds a page for solar information once the Installation Tracker is set up on the IQ5 Hub.
