How do you set the date and time on a Honeywell L5100?
If you have a Honeywell L5000 LYNX Touch alarm control panel that has been upgraded with an AlarmNet ILP5 internet alarm monitoring communicator or GSMVLP5 cellular alarm monitoring communicator or if you have a L5100 LYNX Touch alarm control panel that has been upgraded with an AlarmNet ILP5 internet alarm monitoring communicator, L5100-WIFI internet alarm monitoring communicator or GSMVLP5-4G cellular alarm monitoring communicator, the time and date will automatically be set by AlarmNet's servers.
If you have a L5000 or L5100 LYNX Touch alarm control panel that is not upgraded with an AlarmNet alarm communicator, you will have to manually program your security system's date and time. You LYNX Touch alarm control panel must be disarmed before setting the time and date. First select the 'Tools' icon on the home screen, then enter your (4) digit master code when the keypad is displayed. On the next screen, choose the 'Date Time' icon and the calendar screen will be displayed. Select the current month by using the arrows to the left and right of the displayed month and select the current year by using the arrows to the left and right of the displayed year at the top of the screen. Select the current day using the displayed calendar and once finished press the down arrow icon on the bottom right. The time will be displayed and if it is not correct, press 'Clear' and enter the (4) digit time followed by AM or PM. Press the down arrow to advance to the next screen and then set your applicable time zone and whether or not you want to use daylight savings time. Daylight savings time is set to start the 2nd week of March and end the 1st week of November. We don't recommend changing these settings but you can if you need to. When you have completed the date and time setting, press the 'Save' button and the system returns to the master user programming screen.
