2GIG GC2 10-1 Kit

Larger homes and businesses needing a reliable option for alarm monitoring can benefit from the 2GIG GC2 10-1 Kit. With 10 door and window contacts, a motion sensor, a Honeywell LT-Cable and a GC2 System, it has almost everything needed. But no cellular communicator is included in the kit.

The 2GIG Go!Control GC2 is a solid wireless all-in-one (AIO) system that still holds up relatively well today. It features a 3.75" by 2.25" touchscreen and support for up to 60 wireless zones and 64 different user codes. This will give the user plenty of flexibility when designing a security setup. The system will support 345 MHz 2GIG Sensors, as well as most Honeywell 5800 Series Sensors. If a user ever needs to move their system to a different location, they will be able to do so easily. And an optional desk stand will make it even easier for users to mount the system.

However, this GC2 Kit does not come included with a cellular communicator. This is an important add-on for the system that will allow it to connect with Alarm.com. Accessing Alarm.com is necessary for sending signals out to a central monitoring station and to the end user. Alarm.com can also be accessed by the end user at any time to control their system. Through Alarm.com, users can arm and disarm, check the status for sensors, control Z-Wave devices and more. Another reason that cellular communication is very important is because it represents the most reliable communication path for an alarm system.

The GC2 can also serve as a hub for Z-Wave smart home devices. The system will support 232 Z-Wave devices, and any programmed device can be controlled directly from the panel. It is also possible control Z-Wave devices from Alarm.com. And with the included Honeywell LT-Cable, powering the system is super easy.
