How can I connect to a Honeywell L7000 with an iPad?

The best way to connect your iPad to your Honeywell L7000 LYNX Touch alarm panel is signing up for Total Connect 2.0. This service allows you to control the system from anywhere in the world on your smartphone, tablet or computer via internet or cellular. The L7000 will need an IP and/or GSM communicator. We recommend using dual path solutions for reasons of speed and reliability. The Honeywell L5100-WIFI module allows the system to connect to your local WIFI network and offers the fastest speeds of transmission. The Honeywell 4GL cellular communicator utilizes the AT&T 2G, 3G and 4G networks to reliably send alarm signals even during power outages.

Once you have your communicator (s) installed then next step is to sign up for the Total Connect 2.0 service with an Alarmnet dealer. We offer the service stand alone in our no contract Self monitoring plan for $10 per month and in tandem with Central Station monitoring with our Plus+ monitoring package for $20 per month. Each plan is based on an IP only setup. If you have a GSM unit you will need to add $10 per month for the added line for AT&T cellular data charges. This gives you unlimited data.

The only other way to connect to your L7000 is to purchase and download the LYNX Connect app. This application offers similar control to the Total Connect 2.0 app but it will only work when your device is connected to the same local WIFI network as the L7000 panel. In other words, there is no way for this app to connect to the L7000 remotely.
