When it detects that pattern, it sends an alert to the panel. This allows it to act as a bridge between existing hardwired or battery smoke detectors and the IQ Panel 5 alarm system without replacing those detectors.
Because the FF100-345 operates on the 345 MHz frequency, the IQ QC0005-840 345 MHz daughter card must be installed in the panel before enrollment. Once enrolled, the detector is always active — it monitors 24 hours a day regardless of arming state and cannot be bypassed. 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and touch Settings. The Settings page opens.

2. Touch Advanced Settings and enter the Installer Code (1111 by default). The Advanced Settings menu opens.

3. Touch Installation, then Devices, then Security Sensors. The Security Sensors menu opens.

4. Touch Auto Learn Sensor. The panel enters listening mode and waits for a 345 MHz signal.

5. Press the test button on the 2GIG-FF100-345. The detector sends a 345 MHz signal. The panel chimes and displays the DL ID. The Source field shows SRF345. A Loop field also appears — leave it at Loop 1, the only option for 345 MHz fire sensors.
6. Touch OK to confirm the sensor. The sensor configuration screen appears.

7. Set the Sensor Type to Smoke Detector. Sensor Group 26 is assigned automatically. This is the correct group for the FF100-345 — it keeps the detector always active and non-bypassable. Enter a Sensor Name such as Kitchen Audio Detector or Bedroom Fire Listener and touch Add New to save.

After Adding the Detector
Test the FF100-345 after enrollment by pressing the test button to confirm the panel responds correctly. Position the detector within clear audio range of the smoke detectors it is monitoring — typically in the same room or hallway. The detector is supervised and cannot be bypassed. It triggers whenever it hears the T3 temporal alarm pattern from a nearby smoke detector.
