How Do I Add an IPCAM-WO to Total Connect 2.0?

You can add an IPCAM-WO to Total Connect 2.0 by contacting your alarm company and having them add the camera to your account. You will need to provide the MAC address for the camera. You can only activate an IPCAM-WO if it was online at the time when Resideo pushed down a critical update.

Note: The Total Connect 2.0 Legacy IP Cameras like the IPCAM-WO can only be used if they were online at the time when Resideo pushed down an OTA update to make them compatible with an updated TC2 platform. Any legacy camera that was not online to receive this update can no longer be used. You must be very careful when purchasing used legacy TC2 IP Cameras, as many people will try to pass off bricked models on unsuspecting buyers. Please read this FAQ for more information.

Complete the following steps to add an IPCAM-WO to your Total Connect account:

1. Connect the IPCAM-WO to the internet. The IPCAM-WO can connect to the network using either a WPS wireless connection or a hard-wired ethernet connection. Once your camera is online, it can be added to Total Connect.

2. Add the camera to Total Connect. Contact your alarm monitoring company and tell them that you would like to add your IPCAM-WO to your Total Connect account. You will be asked to provide the MAC address for the camera. This can be found on the back of the camera.

3. Test the camera. Check your Total Connect account, and make sure that the camera appears in your list of cameras. Check the live feed of the camera's video from the Total Connect app on an Android or iOS device to make sure that it can be viewed properly. Live streaming is not available from the TC2 website at this time.

4. Change your settings. After you have finished adding the camera to your Total Connect account, you should take the time to adjust any desired settings for the device. Some of the changes you can make to the settings of the camera include its name, recording schedule, motion capture settings and areas of motion detection. Make sure to click "Save" when you are finished changing the settings.

Once the camera has been added, the user will be able to save clips of camera recordings. With the IPCAM-WO, clips can only be saved for up to seven days. After seven days, they will be automatically deleted.
