How do I add Z-Wave Compatibility to My GoControl?

The 2GIG Go!Control alarm panel is an integrated wireless security system and Z-Wave automation controller. Right out of the box the GoControl panel supports up to 232 Z-Wave devices. We recommend staying under 100 unless devices are enrolled by a professional. With that said, the Go!Control combines all the reliability of an alarm system with the dexterity of an automation controller. After Z-Wave devices are included into the system RF mesh network, they can be enrolled into scenes, rules and scheduling. These automated functions can be triggered by just about anything. This is includes and is not limited to daily functions such as arming and disarming the security system.

2GIG was acquired by Linear Corp. after gaining so much consumer popularity in the security and automation industries. Linear is a global leader in automation devices so this marriage was a mutually beneficial one. The world of Z-Wave is growing at exponential rates but there is a myriad of incompatibility issues across different manufactures jumping on the bandwagon. In other words, as more companies delve into Z-Wave equipment there are inevitably growing pains which result in some Z-Wave devices not working with certain controllers.

The Go!Control panel is one of the more versatile Z-Wave controllers out there. It supports most Z-Wave products including lighting control (Linear, Leviton, GE, Jasco), door locks (Yale, Kwikset, and Schlage) and thermostats (Honeywell, CT100, Trane). It is always wise to purchase a single unit and test before purchasing a large amount of Z-Wave devices.
