How Do I Connect an IQ Keypad PG to the IQ5 Hub System?

To connect an IQ Keypad PG to the IQ5 Hub, swipe down, touch Settings, Advanced Settings, enter the Installer Code (1111 by default), go to Installation, Devices, Security Sensors, and touch Auto Learn. Hold the * button for three seconds, set Sensor Type to Keypad, and touch Add New.

What Is the IQ Keypad PG

The IQ5 Hub (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) is compatible with the IQ Keypad PG (IQKP-915), a PowerG wireless LCD keypad that provides a secondary arming and disarming point without any wiring. It communicates over the same encrypted PowerG radio used by your security sensors — no daughter card required.

The IQ Keypad PG has a backlit numeric keypad, LED status indicators for Ready, Armed, Trouble, and AC Power, and a panic button. If proximity tag disarming is also needed, the IQ Keypad Prox-PG adds a built-in tag reader. Up to 3 PowerG keypads can be connected to the security system.

Steps to Connect the IQ Keypad PG

1. Mount and power on the IQ Keypad PG. Install batteries or connect power and position the keypad within PowerG range.

2. Swipe down from the top of the screen and touch Settings. The Settings page opens.

3. Touch Advanced Settings and enter the Installer Code (1111 by default). The Advanced Settings menu opens.

4. Touch Installation, then Devices, then Security Sensors. The Security Sensors menu opens.

5. Touch Auto Learn Sensor. The panel enters listening mode for a PowerG signal.

6. Press and hold the * button on the IQ Keypad PG for three seconds. The keypad sends a PowerG enrollment signal. The panel chimes and displays the DL ID.

7. Touch Add New, set Sensor Type to Keypad, choose a Sensor Group and Name, then touch Add New. Groups 0, 1, and 2 are available. Name the keypad by location such as Front Entry or Back Door.

Using the Keypad After Enrollment

Once enrolled, enter any valid user code to arm or disarm the system from the keypad. Status LEDs reflect the current system state. For remote access and home automation features, the Alarm.com app with a monitoring plan gives you full control from anywhere. Upgrade to the IQ Keypad Prox-PG if proximity tag disarming is needed.
