How Do I Delete a Z-Wave Device From the IQ5 NS System?
To delete a Z-Wave device from the IQ5 NS, open the IQ Installer app and connect to the panel. Navigate to Automation Devices, touch the three-dot menu at the top of the screen, select Clear Device, touch Start Clear Device, and press the pair button on the device to complete removal.
Two Ways to Remove a Z-Wave Device
The IQ5 NS (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) is a screenless security system panel that manages all Z-Wave device configuration through the IQ Installer app. To remove a Z-Wave device, use Clear Device from the three-dot menu on the Automation Devices page. This removes the device from the panel and excludes it from the Z-Wave network. If you want to remove all Z-Wave devices at once, use Remove All Z-Wave Automation Devices from the same three-dot menu.

After Removing a Device
After clearing, the device is excluded from the Z-Wave network and can be paired with a new controller. To re-add it to the IQ5 NS, use Add Device on the Automation Devices page. You can continue expanding your home automation setup by adding replacement or additional Z-Wave devices at any time through the IQ Installer app.
