Description
The IQN5017 is the Verizon LTE version of the IQ5 NS, the screen-free member of the IQ5 family. It delivers the same modern platform performance and wireless innovations as the touchscreen models but in a cost-effective design that depends on connected devices and apps for control.
Powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing quad-core processor and Android 14, it includes built-in Verizon LTE CAT4 and dual-band Wi-Fi for cloud-connected alarm and automation control. The system’s PowerG+ transceiver at 915 MHz supports encrypted two-way wireless with up to 128 PowerG+ security sensors and up to 100 PowerG automation devices, with a total device capacity of up to 167.
The IQN5017 includes a Z-Wave 800 Series radio with Long Range, enhancing automation device coverage. Built-in Bluetooth allows mobile proximity and touchless disarm features. The system supports up to four partitions and up to 242 user codes, giving flexibility for installations of varying size.
The IQ5 NS platform supports optional RF daughter cards, allowing the system to communicate with additional wireless sensor frequencies when required. This is especially helpful for takeovers where existing sensors need to be reused without adding a touchscreen panel. It already has PG+ built-in, but other available daughter cards include the QC0001-840 (319.5 MHz IQ Card), QC0004-840 (433 MHz IQ Card), and the QC0005-840 (345 MHz IQ Card). Installing the appropriate card allows the IQ5 NS to support legacy sensors while still using the long range PowerG+ sensors.
User feedback is provided via status LEDs, audible annunciation, and panel sirens. A single hardware button is used for pairing and system feedback. The 24-hour backup battery helps ensure continued operation during power outages. This screen-free panel is ideal for app-centric installs that still need robust security and scalability.
