How Do I Enable Camera Viewing On a PROA7PLUSC?
First, the PROA7PLUSC must be connected to the same WIFI network as compatible cameras. First Alert VX Series cameras, motion viewers, SkyBell video doorbells, and legacy Total Connect HD cameras can be streamed. Enable streaming video in VX Series and Total Connect 2.0 HD camera settings.
The Honeywell Home PROA7 and the Resideo PROA7C do not support camera viewing. One prominent feature of the Honeywell Home PROA7PLUS and the Resideo PROA7PLUSC is the ability to stream compatible cameras to the panel's touchscreen. In the case of the VX Series cameras and Total Connect 2.0 HD cameras, this feature must first be enabled in the camera's settings through Total Connect 2.0. Once that's been done the cameras can be seen within the Cameras screen on the panel.
Once the cameras can be streamed at the panel touchscreen (panel firmware 03.2305.91+ required for SkyBell), they will also be available to stream from any Honeywell Home PROWLTOUCH or Resideo PROWLTOUCHC associated with the system. When SkyBells were updated to the new TC2 backend, they lost the ability to stream on secondary touchscreen keypads.
Important Note: A camera that is in privacy mode cannot be streamed at the PROA7PLUS or PROA7PLUSC while the system is disarmed.
What's Required:
- A PROA7PLUS or PROA7PLUSC with a PROWIFI or PROWIFIZW installed.
- A connection to WIFI, specifically, the same WIFI network the compatible camera is connected to.
- A SkyBell Video Doorbell, VX Series, or Total Connect 2.0 HD camera enabled on the same Total Connect 2.0 account associated with the panel. Up to eight (8) cameras can be streamed to the panel touchscreen.
- HD cameras can be live streamed for up to 90 seconds. SkyBell Video Doorbells can be live streamed for up to five (5) minutes.
Enable Camera Viewing On a PROA7PLUS or PROA7PLUSC
The below steps assume that one or more compatible cameras have been connected to WIFI and enabled on the Total Connect 2.0 account that is associated with the PROA7PLUS system, and that the cameras can be viewed successfully through Total Connect 2.0.
-
Enable panel viewing. VX Series and Total Connect 2.0 HD cameras must first be enabled for panel viewing. SkyBell video doorbell cameras are always available to view and don't have this setting. Log into TC2 then tap "Cameras". Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the camera preview screen, then tap settings. On the next screen, be sure "Show on Panel" is toggled ON, then click SAVE.
-
View Cameras: Once between one (1) and eight (8) compatible cameras have been enabled for panel viewing, go to the panel and tap the menu icon (≡) then tap Cameras. You'll see "Images and Recordings". This section is where panel and touchscreen disarm photos are stored. Also, any images captured by the Honeywell home PROINDMV motion viewers are stored here. You can tap on that option to review those images.
Also, each camera that you enabled for panel viewing in Step 1 will be listed individually on this screen. Tap the camera preview to open a live stream. The live stream will last 90 seconds for all TC2 cameras and up to five (5) minutes for SkyBell cameras.
