How Do I Enable Screen Lock on the IQ5 Hub Security Panel?

To enable Screen Lock on the IQ5 Hub, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Settings Tray and touch Screen Lock. Select 4-digit or 6-digit, enter a PIN, and confirm it. The panel requires that PIN whenever it wakes from sleep to prevent unauthorized access to settings and menus.

What Screen Lock Does

The IQ5 Hub (available in AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE) includes a Screen Lock feature that requires a PIN every time the panel wakes from sleep. This prevents unauthorized users from accessing Settings and Advanced Settings menus. Screen Lock is separate from your arming and disarming codes — it only controls access to the panel's display and menus, not the security system itself.

You can choose a 4-digit or 6-digit PIN. Once enabled, the Lock Screen icon replaces the Status icon in the upper left corner of the Settings Tray. Screen Lock works independently of Partitions — you can enable or disable it regardless of whether Partitions are active.

How to Enable Screen Lock

1. Swipe down from the top of the screen. The Settings Tray opens with quick-access controls including Screen Lock.

2. Touch Screen Lock. A prompt asks you to select your PIN length: 4-digit or 6-digit.

3. Select 4-digit or 6-digit and enter your PIN. Enter the PIN using the on-screen keypad.

4. Enter the PIN a second time to confirm. Screen Lock is now active. The Lock Screen icon appears in the upper left corner of the Settings Tray.

How to Disable Screen Lock

To turn Screen Lock off, swipe down to open the Settings Tray and touch the Screen Lock icon. Enter your current PIN when prompted. Screen Lock is immediately disabled and the Status icon returns to the Settings Tray. You can re-enable it at any time.
