How Do I Get My ADC-V515 Added to My Alarm.com Account Via the Mobile App?
You can get your ADC-V515 added to your Alarm.com via the mobile app by first connecting the camera to a WIFI network and then accessing your Alarn.com account through the mobile app on your Android or iOS device so that you can provide the unique 12-character MAC Address for the camera.
For this FAQ, we are assuming that you are already set up with an Alarm.com account and that your monitoring company has already applied the video services add-on to your account. You should reach out to your monitoring provider if this hasn't already been completed. Remember that the ADC-V515 can be integrated with your account via the mobile app or website. The instructions below only cover the mobile app.
Complete the following steps to add an ADC-V515 to your Alarm.com account using the mobile app:
1. Get camera online. You should first get your ADC-V515 Camera connected with a local WIFI network and the internet. You can do this through WPS pairing or AP Mode pairing. You will know that the camera is online because its LED will be solid green. Keep in mind that only 2.4 GHz WIFI networks can be used with the ADC-V515, as the camera does not support 5 GHz WIFI networks.
2. Access ADC Mobile App. With your camera online, you can now begin integrating it with your Alarm.com account. Start by accessing Alarm.com through the mobile app. Download the Alarm.com Mobile App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store if you haven't already. Login using your username and password. Complete the two-factor authentication (2FA) process if it is enabled on your account. If you are having trouble, then you should reach out to your monitoring provider for further assistance.
3. Enter Add Video Device. After logging into Alarm.com, click the three (3) horizontal bars button in the upper-left corner. Choose Video, then Settings (the gear icon in the upper-right), and then Add Video Device. This will take you to the Add Video Device Menu.
4. Complete the integration. If your ADC-V515 Camera is successfully connected to WIFI, then Alarm.com will typically find it immediately. In that case, just press the blue Install button to proceed. If a firmware update is needed for the camera, then the button will instead say "Upgrade and Install", but you can just click it like normal. Just note that the firmware updating process may take upwards of thirty (30) minutes. From there, just follow the on-screen prompts to complete the integration. Please note that even though the screenshot below shows the ADC-V523, it should look virtually identical for the ADC-V515.
If you are having trouble getting the camera to appear automatically, then you can alternatively enter the12-character MAC Address for the camera. You can find the unique MAC Address on the underside of the camera, right by its QR code. If you click the small icon in the far right side of the Enter MAC Address field, then you can load the camera for your mobile device to scan the QR code so that the MAC Address generates automatically. This will prevent you from needing to enter the code yourself. When you are ready to initiate the setup process, click the blue Install or Upgrade & Install button. You can follow the on-screen prompts to successfully complete the integration.
